1999 Honda crv overheating
my 1999 Honda crv had been overheating for a while. I replaced the fan and it stopped. This summer the ac started getting warm while sitting. Then following on longer trips 30 mins maybe the temp gauge goes up and makes the car lag power. I'm not sure what it is plus there's a loud consistent squeezing noise coming from I believe the fan I could be wrong.

it has a new head gasket and I replaced the thermostat and fan a year ago. The fan and ac fan come on consistently with no issues I've seen but that noise.

RE: 1999 Honda crv overheating
It sounds like you may have two unrelated problems.

First I would look at the overheating. Always check the coolant when the engine is cool. If it's not full then fill it up and look for leaks. If it's not obviously leaking then drive it for a few days to see if that issue is better. (for the moment)

On a car that is 14 years old the AC system may need attention. The noise you hear may be either the fans or the AC compressor. Charging an AC system is not for the complete novice so seek professional help if you feel this is the direction.
