'89 accord

'89 accord
ok so heres the issue, i got an '89 accord that will not idle and i think that it has something to do with the carburetor but im not sure. it just seach idles like it'll go up in rpm's and right back down and sometimes it will just die. so if u got any ideas let me know.

Could be a carb problem or an EGR stuck open. Does it run good at road speeds?

Try a thorough check of the vacuum lines.  With the age of the car there could be some cracks or collapsing.  Next, have the fuel pressure checked.

There are multiple diaphrams that control idle. Such as ac 0n/off , choke -cold idle etc. There is also a base idle screw i think it is at the rear of carb. Sometimes it has a small knob or wheel on it. As others have advised check lines and egr operation.
