96,Plymouth Voyager 3.0/80367miles
Engine cranks fine but just won't turn over.
I got spark,fuel but the compression spikes to 150psi.and goes right back down.please advise on possible causes why it wont start.
etc. what function is the ASD auto shut down switch?

The ASD relay powers up ignition coils, injectors, etc. I would check timing belt. Mechanical timing.

Just did a timing belt on one of those so feel free to ask for more hints.

My first tip would be that you can see the cam by removing the oil fill cap. Have someone crank it over and see if it's turning at all, and also see if it's turning consistantly. (skipping a tooth?)

Second tip would be to replace the water pump while doing the job. (you will find out why as you take things apart)

Third tip is to plan at least TWO full evenings to do the job.

Once you verify the timing belt as a problem I'm sure one of us can dig up a diagram for the cam alignment marks.
